We're an independent, ethical,

Fish & Chip Shop and Soul Food Café

Soul Fish = Comfort Food With A Conscience

Delicious:

It’s all about quality and flavour. Owner Stuart Seth has over 20

years’ experience cooking around the world as well as in many of Bristol’s best

restaurants.

We’re proud to cook our food from scratch using fresh natural

ingredients - our legendary curry sauce is not your average chip shop sauce. No

artificial colours or flavourings, just good simple ingredients cooked well and

served fresh.

Sustainable:

We are committed to using sustainably sourced fish, our Southern Fried Chicken is free range, and our beef brisket is locally sourced.

We recycle, compost and in all areas try to reduce waste – our high tech fryer is

the most efficient on the market (ensuring a crisp fry as well as reducing energy

consumption).

WHAT'S A PO'BOY?

A Po Boy = a New Orleans inspired, deep filled overnight baguette with a hot combo of southern spiced goodness.  Dressed = with salad!

Originally from the New Orleans Deep South. Po Boys were bought to this earth by two brothers named Benny and Clovis when they wanted a sandwich worthy enough to hand out to men who were making the world a better place - by striking for better pay!

Why the name Po-Boy? The rumour is that when they were ordered in a New Orleans bar, the waitress would shout, “here comes another poor boy!” which eventually got shortened to Po’Boy.
